The Township of Wellesley is an agricultural based municipality with approximately 11,500 Residents within Waterloo Region and is committed to providing a diverse and inclusive environment for both residents and employees.  Wellesley Township is looking for a self-motivated, hardworking team player to fill a position as Front Desk Support within the Recreation Department.

Summary:

The Recreation Front Desk support position(s) is primarily responsible for providing excellent customer service at the front desk at the Bill Gies Recreation Centre. This role involves a variety of tasks including in-person service, answering phones, distributing keys, and assisting with set ups for Recreation programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide in-person, telephone and email service response to inquiries about programs and services.
  • Program Registration: Assist in registrations through ActiveNet and Pick-up Hub along with selling gym and track memberships.
  • Facility Set-Up: Set up and tear down of space for Recreation Programs.
  • Communication: Provide information and feedback to recreation staff.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure smooth operation of the front desk and other recreation services.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum grade 11 education
  • Experience: Previous experience in customer service considered an asset.
  • Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, knowledge of computer software (Office 365) and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Physical Requirement: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds and handling various office equipment. 

Work Environment:

  • Location: Primarily indoors at the Bill Gies Recreation Centre.
  • Schedule: Primarily evenings and weekends, up to 24 hours per week.
